8 Safety Tips for Motorcycle Riders

3. Wear the proper gear.
   Protecting your head is the most important rule: wear a helmet every time you drive. Other gear includes goggles, leather jacket and pants, boots over the ankle, and gloves. When driving at night, wear clothing with a reflective material.
   
   
4. Motorbike inspection.
   Before going on a drive, always inspect your bike for safety purposes. Check if all of your motorbike’s lights work. Check the brakes, tires, side mirrors, and all other parts. If you notice that there's something wrong with it, do not use it and repair it immediately.
   
   
5. Observe road laws.
   Do not be one of those riders who neglect road laws and end up in an accident because of over speeding. Follow the traffic rules and speed limit, use signals when changing lanes or making a turn, and follow the road signs!
   
   
6. Be on the defensive side.
   Always be alert when you’re on the road! 7. Observe a safe distance.

8. Driving in the proper position.
   Drive in a safe and comfortable way. Have your torso aligned with your hips and your arms not over-extended. Avoid slouching and always keep your eyes on the road. Find your balance and be flexible enough to adjust to the changes in direction while driving.
